UPDATE: This is caused by a DDOS attack, we are working on mitigating this attack. We have enabled the FREE redundant servers for the Ventrilo clients.

There is a huge fiber cut in the NYC area that is affecting much of the Internet for the Northeastern United States. This cut has not directly impacted us, but it has caused several issues for multiple peering companies. The issue is actively being worked on as it is severe, however no ETA has been given to us for full restoration of service.

Dear Clients,
To increase the quality of our services we will be upgrading to new up to date hardware some of our Los Angeles and Virginia servers.
On February 22nd at around 9:00AM EST we will proceed with the upgrade which will modify the address IP of your voice server.
What does it mean?
- The move will cause about 90 minutes of downtime
- The move change your server IP but not the port number.
- All your server settings will be transferred.
- If you are using a custom hostname, the address ventXX.light-speed.com or tsXX.light-speed.com to join your server, this address will not work for up to a few hours after the move, we suggest using the NEW direct IP for about
12 hours if you're having issues connecting.

The machine hosting vent14.light-speed.com stopped responding properly twice in the last 2 hours.
We are currently investigating the cause and will probably have to do an hardware change as soon as possible.
UPDATE 10:00AM : The server went unresponsive again, we will change the hard disk in the next hours and format to a new operating system. We expect a few hours of downtime until this emergency maintenance is completed. We have enabled the FREE Ventrilo redundant option until this situation is resolved.
UPDATE: 2:35 PM EST: The new hardisk and operating system is now online and all ventrilo servers are online and stable. We will close the FREE failover servers shortly. Thank you for your patience.

There is currently a network issue affecting the Sydney network, we are investigating and will update this news as soon as we have more information. This problem might be related to the datacenter move scheduled for 26th-27th-28th.
UPDATE: Our provider confirmed that they started moving our servers, we will enable the FREE ventrilo Fail over until the move is completed.

• January 19th-22th: vent112 and ts70 Instability issue
Dear Clients,
There is currently a problem on the machine hosting vent112.light-speed.com causing instability. We are investigating the cause and will update this news post when we have new information.
UPDATE 2:00 PM EST: We are attempting a reboot of the server.
UPDATE 2:10 PM EST: The reboot did not help the problem and after further investigation we believe that the hard disk in the machine is failing. We will be scheduling an hard disk change as soon as possible.
UPDATE 21st: Our provider will perform some hardware tests tomorrow (January 22) in the morning causing downtime for your servers, after these tests they will probably perform a maintenance to replace parts.
UPDATE 22nd: Our provider is now changing the harddisk and formatting, the machine should be back to normal in 90-120 minutes. Thank you for your patience, do not hesitate to use the ventrilo failover until is back to normal.
UPDATE: Hard Disk changed and formated , backup restored . All servers are back to normal.

• January 18th : Teamspeak 3 Server and Client Upgrade *Important*
Dear Clients,
TeamSpeak released a new version of the TeamSpeak 3 Beta server and client today. The new client and server are not backwards compatible, meaning that everybody will need to download and install the latest client version 3.0.0-beta11 and we need to upgrade all TeamSpeak 3 Beta servers to the latest server version to (3.0.0-beta15).
We will be proceeding with this upgrade in the next few hours. We expect a few minutes of downtime per server to complete the upgrade.
